The park is open to the public and it is free to visit.
How long is Parken open?
Palsgaard Castle Park is open to visitors
Summer (April – September): 07.00 - 21.00
Winter (October – March): 08:00 - 18:00
Where can I park to visit the Park and the Visitor Centre?
Guests in Parken are asked to park at the parking along the yellow wall at the entrance to Parken or at the large parking lot at the old mill – see info on the map below.
Can you bring food to Parken?
You are welcome to enjoy your brought food at the tables and benches set up in the Park or in our Visitor Center. It is only allowed to have a picnic on the grass in Parken in connection with the Palsgaard Summer Play.
Can I bring food into the Visitor Centre?
You are welcome to enjoy your packed lunch in our Visitor Center. Here you can also get a free cup of coffee, tea or cocoa from the centre's vending machine.
Can I bring a group to the Visitor Centre?
Groups are welcome in the Visitor Center, but it is not possible to book the center in advance.
Can you get a tour of the park?
Unfortunately, we do not offer guided tours of the Park, but you are very welcome to visit it on your own.
Can you bring a dog to Parken?
Dogs are welcome in the park, but they must be on a leash and picked up after them.
Can you smoke in Parken?
Palsgaard Castle Park is non-smoking and smoking is not allowed on Palsgaard's premises.
Can you drive into Parken?
No, only visitors with special errands at the Palace or the Mansion Horse Stables are allowed to enter the Park.
Can you cycle in Parken?
It is not allowed to cycle in the park, but you are welcome to cycle in the forest around Palsgaard Estate.
Can you take wedding and confirmation photos in Parken?
You are welcome to take pictures in the park if you are considerate of other guests. However, we would love to know in advance - feel free to write to us here.
Can you visit Palsgaard Castle?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit Palsgaard Castle as it is a private residence. However, you can see more about the castle in a video about the Schou Foundation, which owns Palsgaard Estate here.
